Jump to Recipe
Baked Chicken Meatballs are perfect for a weeknight meal! They are soft and tasty, crafted from ground chicken, onions, garlic, and spices.
Here, we are fans of meatballs. Naturally, Spaghetti and Meatballs is a classic favorite. However, meatballs can be fantastic even without a sauce.
For example, these Baked Chicken Meatballs are soft, full of flavor, and really simple to prepare.
The best part is that my whole family adored them. They couldn’t get enough and made excellent leftovers for the next day too. In my view, that’s a complete win!

Now, let’s go over what you will require to prepare them.

Baked Chicken Meatballs Ingredients:

GROUND CHICKEN:

I like to use dark meat for my meatballs. Ground chicken breast lacks the fat needed to keep them tender. If ground chicken isn’t available, ground turkey is a good substitute.

EGG:

This ingredient helps hold the meatballs together.

They also assist in keeping all the ingredients united.

MILK:

A small amount of milk will help in making the meatballs moist.

ONION:

Be sure to chop it finely to avoid large onion pieces.

GARLIC:

It should also be minced finely.

WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE:

It adds a savory flavor and some saltiness.

DRIED OREGANO:

This will contribute a strong, herbal taste.

DRIED THYME:

It provides a slightly peppery taste.

OLIVE OIL:

Drizzle this on top of the meatballs.

Step by Step Instructions:

Making these Baked Chicken Meatballs is incredibly easy! There are just three steps! Follow the instructions and images provided.

  • Mix all the ingredients together well.
  • Shape into balls and arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil and add salt and pepper.
  • Bake.

STEP 1:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl, blend all the ingredients.
Use your hands to combine everything gently. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs from becoming tough.

STEP 2:

Take about 1 tablespoon (or a bit more if you prefer larger meatballs) of the mixture and shape it into balls. Position them on a 10 by 15 baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch space in between.
Add salt and pepper on top and drizzle with olive oil.

STEP 3:

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until fully done.
If you desire a little browning, you can switch the broiler on for the last 1 to 2 minutes, but keep a close watch to prevent burning.

Storage and Leftovers:

Keep any remaining meatballs in the refrigerator and consume them within 3 days.
To reheat, microwave them for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or warm them in an oven until heated through.
