Ingredients required:
FROZEN CHEESE RAVIOLI:
In this dish, I choose to use cheese ravioli. It’s a favorite among my kids as well. You can swap in your preferred frozen stuffed ravioli.
MARINARA SAUCE:
To simplify this recipe, I opt for store-bought marinara sauce.
MOZZARELLA:
This is one ingredient I believe should not be compromised on; I strongly suggest grating the mozzarella cheese yourself. I find that it tastes more delicious and melts better compared to pre-shredded varieties.
PARMESAN CHEESE:
It’s best to grate this yourself as well.
BASIL:
Fresh basil that is chopped adds a pop of color and a sweet flavor. It’s an ideal topping for this pasta.

Recipe FAQ:
Is it necessary to defrost frozen ravioli before baking?
Not at all! No need to thaw for this recipe.
Why shouldn’t you use pre-shredded cheese?
I seldom use pre-shredded cheese. This is because anti-caking agents are added to prevent clumping, which affects how well the cheese melts. Shredding your own cheese from a block provides a better taste and texture.
